You can install DSS DJ on your system if it meets the following minimum system requirements: 1GHz processor, 256MB of RAM, Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. To install DSS DJ on your system just download a 2.2MB executable, run it, and click through a simple setup wizard. You’ll have the beat-mixing software up and running in no time at all.

DSS DJ’s interface presents two decks side by side. Above the decks there’s a list of tracks you loaded into the application and a lists browser. It must be mentioned that you can use skins to customize the way the application looks. Four skins come preloaded with the application, more are available for download on its official webpage.

The two decks mentioned above provide support for a variety of media formats: MP3, M4A, MP4, CDA,
OGG, WMA, WAV, AIFF, AU. The moment you launch DSS DJ, it will tell you that there are no songs in the list and will invite you to load some. Do so, select some tracks, and then you will be able to load them onto the two decks. You will be able to play tracks, play them in reverse, break the playback, loop the song, mix songs, play with some filters, and more.

Because the application is free to try not freeware, each DSS DJ session is limited to 30 minutes.
